‘Laika Lounge’ is for anyone who loves authentic Russian cuisine served with a twist! ‘Laika Lounge,’ is our way of paying tribute to the world’s first space dog-‘Laika.’ We salute the spirit of exploration this Russian dog had, and we invite everyone in Seattle, to explore our new take on Russian food! We, at ‘Laika Lounge,’ are a Russian eatery and cocktail bar and share space and management with ‘Trabant Coffee,’ at Pioneer Square. Managed by Zamran Alma and owned by Tatiana Becker -we believe that there is no substitute for fresh ingredients, prepared right! We serve up an array of innovative craft cocktails, ranging from ? ‘The Lenin’ -a vodka drink with our original ‘Midnight in Moscow’ syrup and muddled orange; ‘The Proletariat’ ?comprising, whiskey, ‘Midnight in Moscow’ syrup, and ginger beer; and ‘The Trotsky’-made up of rye whiskey, dry vermouth, ‘Midnight in Moscow’ syrup, and pineapple juice. We offer a fresh and light approach to Russian classic cuisine, courtesy -Chef Joseph Bollag; previously the Sous Chef, at Seattle’s ‘How to Cook a Wolf,’ and Los Angeles’s ‘Fig and Olive.’ If you want to taste his delicious ? ‘Mixed Baby Kales’ and ‘Dry Cured Olive Shortbread;’ ‘Beetroot Vereniki;’ ‘Siberian Latkes;’ ‘Vegetarian Borscht’ or ‘Heritage Farms Beef Sliders,’ just drop by for dinner 5 p.m onwards and sample them all!
