Nickel & Suede has been designing and handcrafting leather earrings and other jewelry since 2014. Founded by the husband and wife team of Soren and Kilee, they are the pioneers of the teardrop leather earring. The story of this earring style begins in Kilee’s room as she’s preparing herself for a night out. After choosing the perfect outfit, Kilee was desperately searching for the perfect accessories, but couldn’t find the right color earrings. Remembering some leather pieces she had just received, Kilee grabbed a gold piece that was the exact shade and texture she was looking for. She traced out an eardrop design and created a replica of her metal drop earrings in a lightweight leather! Trying them on for the first time was amazing ? they were so light it didn’t feel like she was wearing anything, but they still stood out against her skin, hair, and clothing. Even better, the earrings moved in such a unique way that any time she walked or moved, the earrings fluttered dynamically and captured the eye immediately. After this first pair, Nickel & Suede created many more leather earrings in a number of different shapes, leathers, and sizes. We’ve also added bracelet cuffs, chokers, game day designs, and a few fashion essentials to help you create an effortless look every day.
