At Surprise Pediatric Dentistry we have gone out of our way to maintain our office atmosphere so it is comfortable and non-threatening. As soon as you walk in the front door the bright colors and clubhouse theme puts kids and parents at ease so that they will be excited about their visit. Pediatric dentists are recognized specialists in the filed of dentistry. They dedicate two extra years of training beyond dental school. In their residency programs they receive additional training in the areas of: anesthesia and sedation, behavior management, infant and baby oral health, pregnancy and its relationship to dental health, habit cessation (thumbsucking, etc.), the role of growth and development and their effect on the developing permanent teeth. In addition, pediatric dentists and staff are aware of the special needs that children require. They understand that going to the dentist can be a new and /or scary experience.
